How it works
Salem Psychic Readings exists so you can sit with a genuine Salem reader without waiting in the October line on Essex Street — and without a subscription.

Choose a craft, then a reader
Filter the roster by divination method — tarot, mediumship, astrology, palmistry, runes, scrying, tea leaves, numerology or dream work. Every profile shows years read in Salem, client count and live availability.

Add a balance
Load $20 or more before your first call. We authorize your balance, not your whole card, so a session can never run past what you put down.
- 03
Connect on video
Camera and mic are checked in the browser before you knock. Nothing to install. You may turn your own camera off — most readers keep theirs on so you can see the cards.
- 04
The meter runs, then stops
Billing begins when the reader answers and ends the instant either of you hangs up, rounded to the second. Your remaining minutes are on screen the whole time.
What a reading costs
Rates run $3.25–$6.00 per minute depending on the reader.

Questions
- How are readers vetted?
- We confirm each reader worked a table in Salem — shop, wharf stall or private parlor — verify identity and years, and sit two blind readings before they are listed. Anyone who drops below 4.5 stars over 30 readings goes back into review.
- What if the connection drops?
- The meter pauses immediately. If you cannot reconnect within five minutes, the unused portion returns to your balance and the first minute is never charged.
- Can I do audio only?
- Yes. Toggle your camera off in the call room. Readings involving your palms or your face will ask you to turn it back on.
- Do you record readings?
- Video is never recorded. You can request an audio recording of your own session before it starts; the reader must accept.
- Is this a subscription?
- No. There is no membership, no monthly fee and no minimum session length. You pay per minute from a balance you top up yourself.
